Papercrete, similar in appearance to hypertufa is cast from a slurry of recycled paper and concrete, giving it a rough concrete texture and lighter weight. Like regular concrete, papercrete absorbs water and therefore should not be exposed to rain, freezing temperatures, or set directly on soil.
